This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed with BHARAT Engineering Works (also trading as BHARAT Main Switch). By placing an order you accept the terms below. We aim for safe, timely delivery and clear communication at every step.

1. Shipping Coverage

1.1 We ship across India to all serviceable PIN codes.
1.2 International shipping is not available at this time. If you require export assistance, contact our Sales team for a quotation.

2. Order Processing

2.1 Orders are processed after payment confirmation. Standard processing time is 1–2 business days for stocked items.
2.2 Custom, made-to-order, or bulk manufacturing items may require additional processing time; an estimated lead time will be shown at checkout or provided by sales.
2.3 Orders placed on weekends or national public holidays are processed on the next working day. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

3. Shipping Methods & Partners

3.1 We use reputable courier partners and freight carriers depending on parcel size, weight, and destination. Mode of transport (standard courier, surface freight, or express) is selected to balance cost and transit time.
3.2 For heavy, bulky, or high-value industrial products we may use surface/FTL carriers; delivery appointments may be required.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery estimates are indicative and begin after order processing and dispatch:

• Metro cities: 3–7 business days

• Other cities & towns: 5–10 business days

• Remote / difficult-to-reach areas: 10–15 business days
  Transit times may vary by product type, carrier availability, strikes, weather, or other unforeseen conditions.

5. Shipping Charges & Taxes

5.1 Shipping charges depend on order weight/volume, destination, and chosen delivery speed. Charges are calculated at checkout.
5.2 Free shipping offers (if any) will be displayed during promotions and are subject to terms.
5.3 Any local taxes, entry charges, or applicable levies at the destination are the responsibility of the buyer unless explicitly included at checkout.

6. Cash on Delivery (COD) / Payment Options

6.1 COD may be available for select pin codes and order values. COD is subject to limits and an additional COD fee where applicable.
6.2 For high-value orders we may require advance payment (bank transfer, online payment) and will not allow COD.

7. Order Tracking & Notifications

7.1 Once dispatched you will receive an email and/or SMS with the courier name and tracking number.
7.2 Track your shipment through the tracking link on the courier partner’s portal.
7.3 Delivery time windows may be provided by the carrier; please check the tracking details for updates.

8. Delivery Attempts, Receipt & Inspection

8.1 Couriers will typically attempt delivery up to two times. If delivery is unsuccessful and the package is returned, re-shipment charges may apply.
8.2 Please inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the outer packaging is damaged, note the damage on the Proof of Delivery and take photographs before accepting. For sealed consignments, accept only if seal is intact.
8.3 For high-value shipments we may require the recipient’s signature and valid photo ID on delivery.

9. Damaged, Defective or Missing Items

9.1 Report damaged, defective, or missing items to us within 15 days of delivery with clear photographs of the packaging, product, and the delivery note. Email: info@bharatbew.com or call Customer Care.
9.2 We will investigate and—depending on the outcome—offer a replacement, repair, or refund according to our Return & Exchange Policy.
9.3 Do not dispose of damaged goods or packaging until the claim is resolved, unless instructed otherwise.

10. Incorrect Address, Non-Receipt & Returns-to-Sender

10.1 Please provide a complete, correct delivery address, PIN code, and a reachable contact number. We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect/ incomplete address details provided by the customer.
10.2 If a package is returned to us due to incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or refusal to accept, re-shipment will be charged to the customer (shipping + handling).
10.3 If you do not receive a parcel within the estimated transit time, contact Customer Care with your order number and tracking details so we can raise an enquiry with the carrier.

11. Insurance & Liability

11.1 Standard shipments are covered by carrier liability during transit. For high-value orders you may opt for additional transit insurance—please request this before dispatch. Additional insurance costs will be charged to the customer.
11.2 BHARAT Engineering Works is not liable for delays caused by acts of God, natural disasters, war, strikes, government restrictions, or carrier operational issues beyond our control.

12. Bulk & Project Deliveries

12.1 For project or bulk deliveries we provide consolidated packing, scheduled deliveries, and on-site unloading options where feasible—terms to be agreed in the sales contract.
12.2 Site conditions, permits, and access constraints are the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

13. Cancellation & Amendments

13.1 Orders can be amended or cancelled before dispatch. Once dispatched, cancellations are subject to carrier rules and may incur charges.
13.2 Custom-made products cannot be cancelled after production has started; cancellation policies for custom orders will be communicated at order confirmation.
